Boating on Lesser Slave Lake

Our private boat launch and dock are for Cattail Cabins and RV Park Inc. customers only. The boat launch will accomodate motor boats up to approximately 18 feet in length. Larger pleasure boats can be launched at the public marina 2.5 km from Cattail Cabins. For those who prefer canoeing, kayaking or sailing you can easily launch your boat from the shores of our campsite.

We have a partnership with Wildside Wilderness Connection in Widewater (see our links page). If you are interested in having a kayak adventure for an hour, a day or longer, please talk to the manager about pre-arranging this! Boat rentals are available in Joussard by calling 776-3767. Boat rentals are also available at Reel Inn in Faust (355-2727) and at Shaw's Point( 751-3900).

Boat Parking

While there is room at most cabins and campsites for your boat, it can get congested during busy weekends. We recommend you take advantage of the boat parking pad beside the gazebo. Please click on the thumbnail below for a larger picture.
